This morning (July 20), Vietnam Railways Corporation coordinated to run the first container train departing from Yen Vien Station (Vietnam) to connect with Liege city (Belgium), then overland transit to the destination city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

The train composition includes 23 40-foot containers that are transported with goods such as textiles, footwear, and electronics.
Trains departing from Yen Vien Station are transported to Zhengzhou - China and then connected to Asia - Europe trains to reach the destination.
In the context of the global outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, international sea transport is facing difficult times, railway transport is the most reliable transportation partner to transport goods from Vietnam to Europe due to the efficient international rail connection system. Trains arrive at the destination station on time and that means consistent transport costs.
